Mummy's New Toy....Dont Touch....

Okay, untuk tatapan semua....ini la dia mesin tu. It is an embroidery machine... Memory Craft 350E from Janome.... takde la secanggih mana...but this will do very well for me....
Why did i buy this machine?....ummmmmmm...dunno...hehehe..

The story is like this.... last year, i went to have a look at another machine, Janome Harmony 2049 to upgrade my 20 year old Singer.... there i saw these two ladies learning to use the Memory Craft machine... they were making some embroidery for baju kebaya and baju kurung....immediately i fell in love with this machine.... the quality of the embroidery is surprisingly good to my standard... (of course, nothing can beat the exquisiteness of the the sulam goyang.... that is another story..)

I just stood there mesmerized, thinking."ooo no, i want this too!!" That day i went home empty handed, indecisive, confused.... macam orang angau ...hahaha..
Obviously, i cant afford to have both machines.... i need to have the Harmony 2049 for my sewing projects....yet what i really want is the other one...

So, not long after that i saw marissa_anuar of SKAC offering a voucher of RM500 on the forum.... i called her up and with her help i bought the the Harmony 2049 machine at a very good price... what a nice lady she is... she gave me the voucher for free!! i am so lucky ... thanks a million Ida....


Well... that was a few days before new year.... i knew then that the price of the MC 350E is going to go up after the new year...so, i paid a booking fees.... in case i really want that machine, i can still buy it later at the old price....a much much cheaper price...

To cut the story short(yey! this a long long story indeed).....i got the machine last week.... it is my 20th wedding anniversary present .....and here i am today as busy as ever... so many new things to learn.... how to sulam baju kurung, baju kebaya, tudung, sulam gambar Tasha suruh...etc.... but the most important thing is...i am so blissfully happy at the moment...and hope you are too, my dear friends....love u all...muahs...

My Verdict on the Machines:
Harmony 2049- best sangat mesin ni...sewing is such a pleasure...smooth jer.. betul tak dania?... macam2 tapak nak kena cuba ni...
MC 350E- best jugak... selain dari pattern yg boleh dibeli, ada free patterns boleh download from internet and kalau nak design pattern sendiri boleh beli software dia and design kat pc then sumbat kat mesin suruh dia jahit...hahaha... tu me belum ada lagi...nak! nak! nakkkkk!

Lovely Lilies Update

Sorry to say... but not much progress is done on my Lovely Lilies.... tho' i have gone back to working on the quilt part.... the aliens are still there....
Looks like it's going to take forever before they can transform themselves into a beautiful quilt....

Buttercream Frosting Sampler

Another finished WIP....i started this piece somewhere last year....or was it last last year???....seriously i can't remember at all....

This pattern is by Primrose Needleworks featured in one of the TGOS issue... stitched on my own tea-dyed aida... looks kind of aged and patchy... but what can i say ....that's how it's supposed to be...

Anyway, i started working at it again last December, because i am all for ZERO UFO .... yes, that is my new year's resolution .....
And i finished stitching it early this month... hmm...that is a good start... let's hope that i will not forget too soon...

NOTE: ZERO UFO is not equal to ZERO WIP!!

Budak Cicak Nak Posing

Because i am not in the mood of shooting new pictures.... here i show some pictures of Budok, the kitten... the apple of his Mama's eyes.....
The first thing his Mama will look for when she gets back from school is Budok....
"Budok....Budok.... where are you...mama dah balik ni"..... she will call...hehehe

And then she will ask me "Kakak dah kasi Budok makan?...

My...my....he has grown so fast...




Ehem...in case you are wondering... Budok calls me Kakak ... because i refused to be called Grandma... itu Mama dia punya ultimatum...
"Mummy, you want to be Grandma or not?" ....
"NO....no way"
"Kalau gitu Mummy kena jadi Kakak okay?".....
"Okay"...so Kakak it is...hehehe....jangan marah....

Alien In The Garden

This is my Paula Vaughan project which i started quite a long time ago (well... actually very long long time ago).... the pattern is Lovely Lilies from the Quilts From The Garden book....

So far...this is the most challenging project for me.... a lot of colour changing... and there are new things for me to tackle like.... half stitches and quarter stitches.... well half stitches are fine but quarter stitches are killing me...arrgh...

There is supposed to be a quilt some where in the middle but i have given up working on it.... by the way can anybody see an alien there? hubby thought that is a pink alien there... hahaha... how many time i have tell him that no alien is involve here.... that is a QUILT!

Kenduri Cheese Tarts

Last saturday i got the chance to make these yummy cheese tartlets... sedap memang sedap... but not as sedap as yang Kak Ros buat.... fikir punya fikir... i know the reason lah... dulu tu makan ramai2 dengan my darling sisters dan sebab Kak Ros yang buat...
yang ni buat sendiri... makan pulak sorang2(almost!)....pastu filling dia yg mistake... i used wildberry filling.... rasa dia pelik sket bagi orang yang tak biasa (like me lah)...

I made some without fruit filling for my DS no:1... he wont take any kind of fruit...so for him i just put cheese filling.... i tried one of his...mmmm sedap!...then i put some strawberry jam on it....mmmm...laaagi sedap....
So...moral of the story...next time nak buat lagi but nak guna strawberry filling or blueberry filling...

Tapi kan dalam tak sedap tak sedap wildberry filling tu kan..... me dah makan dalam 10 bijik juga....hahaha...

Ps: Buat jangan tak buat....rugi tau...

A Beautiful Pinkeep From Ain

I never guessed that i would be Ain's partner... but thanks to our clever Adik Manis... i am the recipient of her gift... what a nice surprise....

So here it is ...show time!
What a pretty it is... the colour combination is so sweet ...but most of all i love the saying on it..." cross stitch forever...housework whenever".... yess..that is sooo me!...hihihi
